NIRMV President

Darlene House is the chief communications specialist for House of Communications. This past president of Detroit Women Writers and Women in Communications of Detroit is an award-winning advertising copywriter, editor, journalist and public relations practitioner. She is currently specializing in articles for publications and editing. In addition, Darlene is the author of two books and an acknowledged co-writer/contributor for several others including anthologies, best sellers and textbooks. Darlene also put her professional Such-A-Voice voice-over training to good use by becoming a Stellar Scholars StoryTube Reader/Voice Actress.

Darlene’s experiences while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University plus Master of Arts in Speech Communication from Wayne State University inspired her to become the originator of and first coordinator for National Inspirational Role Models Month (NIRMM) celebrated annually in November. After years of receiving positive feedback and requests for expansion including year-round programs plus completing DABO Leadership Academy non-profit training courses, she founded National Inspirational Role Models Visionaries (NIRMV). NIRMV is now a 503 (c) (3) public charity. It is indeed a blessing for her to serve as President working with a multi-talented team of individuals serving on the NIRMV board supported by dedicated volunteers and valued partners.
